Chartered in 2007, the Austin Cosmopolitan Rotary Club is one of over 32,000 clubs with Rotary International. We are one of 14 clubs in the Austin, Texas metropolitan area. We are a unique Rotary club in many ways.
- We have no age limit or requirement, but our club caters to generations X and Y. We are considered a "young" club.
- We are more affordable than many Rotary Clubs. Dues are reasonable and may be payed quarterly, and we do not have a meal charge at our meetings.
- We hold fundraisers like many other clubs. Our Annual Casino Night has become very popular in just a couple of years. Because we have limited funds to contribute to projects we back up donations with significant volunteer hours.
- We target members from all over town. You do not have to live or work in a specific area of town to join the club.
- We are very social. We adhere to Rotary standards of a speaker each week. You will find meetings are casual and inviting for members and guests. We host fellowship meetings (a.k.a. happy hours) throughout the year. We are more than fellow Rotarians, we are all good friends.
- We work with a variety of charitable organizations to better our community. Whatever your charitable interests are locally or internationally our club offers you an opportunity for service.
- We are growing - we chartered in August 2007 and membership has doubled in 18 months.
- We are diverse - our membership is roughly 50/50 men and women, and our classifications are broad for a smaller club.
