Rotary District 5870 – Empowering Girls and Women Initiative – Days For Girls Event

District 5870 and local Days for Girls chapters in Cedar Park, Georgetown and Belton are partnering to make the Gift of Literacy and an Education possible to girls and women around the world.

This very impactful project will change and provide equity to not only the girls/women that will receive the kits, but also their children and the communities they live in. Investing in a girls’ education through something as simple as personal hygiene kits can transform communities and even their countries.

What are we doing

We will make personal hygiene kits, that once completed, will be shipped to girls in over 144 countries like Nepal, Guatemala and Uganda.

Support the cause

In addition to the items the Club and the District will provide to make kits, we invite each participant and member to purchase some of the following products and to bring them with you at the event (or arrange a dropoff/pickup):

• Teen Girls Underwears – Briefs, dark colors, size 12 or 14 – Amazon
• Washcloths – Dark colors, 12 X 12 – Amazon
• Soap – Travel Size – Amazon
